High-performance direct-fit replacement differential mount. This unit will greatly reduce the independent movement of the entire rear suspension in the car to promote a much more solid and predictable feeling rear end during street driving, road-racing or drag-racing.

The perfect part to complement your poly differential mount! I worked hard to get these made several years ago and now they are available at very low cost! These bushings replace the large flexable stock units that commonly wear out and are very expensive to replace. These bushings drastically change the feel and performance of the rear suspension, especially during hard cornering. They are also an inexpensive way to rid your Z31 of the common "rear end thump" on shifts (Note: sometimes this condition can also be caused by a failed differential mount or slop in a driveline part). While the "Total Kit" is a bit of a misnomer, this kit includes the front and rear poly control arm bushings, tension rod bushings, swaybar mount bushings and end links. Selecting your appropriate year above only changes which style of tension rod bushings included. When it comes to the control arm bushings, these kits are not always an easy installation. Be prepared for several hours of work (6+) to install the total kit. Mfd. by Prothane. Made In The USA
Please Note: Rear Crossmember IRS bushings and other parts are NOT included but highly recommended! After we Z31 owners pestered Prothane into making this kit, it was released without the rear crossmember bushings (the reason for that still remains unknown). After we again pestered them into it, two years later they released the rear crossmember bushings, but have continued to sell it seperately from the "total kit".

Poly tension rod bushings available alone for those who do not wish to install the entire prothane total kit (they are also included in the total kit). Poly tension rod bushings are relatively easy to install and deliver much better steering response. Please be aware that the normal early/late model does not apply, as the pivoting "Z32 Style" tension rods were only on the much less common 1988 and 1989 (USDM) models.

Polyurethane replacement engine isolators are the application engineered and direct-fit addition to your modified Z31, and a cost-effective stock replacement part on your daily driven car! The urethane resin, durometers and hardware components have been selected to give both long lifespan and high performance. As always, all kits include an instruction packet to assist with installation.

  • More comfortable, far less vibration, noise and harshness transmitted into the cabin compared to using solid mounts. These units will also not cause bolts in your engine bay to loosen over time like solid mounts can.
  • Stainless steel grade 18.8 hardware or grade 8 (stronger, your choice) and highest grade poly resin – built for a long lifespan.
  • Much better clearance at turbocharger inlet for running custom piping.
  • Fits all VG30E and ET powered Z31’s. Also available in a version that fits Z32’s and 200SX’s
  • Promote faster response and more instantanious torque to the wheels.

The new version 4 transmission mount is now available. The bolts are no longer impregnated into the urethane, but a large-head elevator bolt is used to keep the entire section height of the poly block in compression. The dimensions of the poly block have changed slightly as well to accommodate the new fasteners. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Designed to work with our Poly Engine Mount Isolators, The transmission mount is made of high quality poly resin and includes all hardware. This mount finished where the engine isolators left off. Transmission Damper Bushings - US $39

The final part isolating the transmission from the vehicle is the transmission damper bar bushings. These replacement bushings replace the existing soft rubber bushings in the large damper bar the transmission mount bolts onto. The damper itself serves to soften shifting and reduce transmission noise and vibration transferred into the car. Most people have reported notice little to no difference in noise, but enhanced shifter feel and crisper response from the clutch. Many have even sawed off the damper's "dumbbells" to remove several pounds of weight. These bushings are best for the performance-oriented Z31 owner. Only available in red, and as always all kits will include an instruction packet.
