7-17-10: Normally I don't do any business on weekends (because I am usually at work) but today I did my first form of web advertisement of any kind besides the website. I created a facebook group for Z31Parts. Among other things, it's an easy way to get the updates (which will be posted there at least as often as here) without checking the Z31parts website all the time. Please feel free to join the group and post up a picture of your car!

7-13-10: Almost caught back up on all orders and e-mails. If by chance your e-mail was missed and you did not receive a reply I apologize; please resend and I will reply ASAP. Some popular items are also back in stock, including Poly Rear Spring Seats.

6-24-10 - STATUS: I relocated to Peoria, IL and sadly I have been without internet for almost two weeks. An update I put on this page was not uploaded for some reason, so many customers went without any sort of notification. I am very sorry that happened and I really hope nobody was too inconvenienced by it. I am now (somewhat) moved into my new place and getting situated; currently unpacking items and setting up my office. I started my new job this week. I just had my internet connected less than an hour ago, so I decided to post this update as soon as possible. I will be getting to some backlogged e-mails later tonight and over the next few days.

6-24-10 - BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: Starting next week I will finally have regular business hours for Z31Parts in which I will be available by phone or e-mail the vast majority of the time. I am making this time available instead of working in my spare time in order to correct issues with my response time and customer service in the past. These hours will be as follows:
Tuesdays 9AM-2PM
Wednesdays 10AM-2PM
Thursdays 10AM to 2PM

Status on some items:
Z3R SPRINGS: A lot of e-mails are coming in about the now-discontinued Z3R springs. I currently have 4 pair of type 1 front springs in stock and ready to ship. I have no others available, and none will be made any time soon. The reason for this is the cost increased very dramatically this year. At the new price (almost 30% higher than previous), having them produced was no longer practical. I had been making a VERY minimal markup on the springs to begin with. Production at this time is not even possible due to the need to have them done in batches of 10 sets minimum and my limited credit. If I can find a supplier to produce them to my specifications for a better price, I will again offer them for sale.
STRUT SPACERS: A small by-demand production run of the old V1 strut spacers is almost ready. I will list them on the site when the extras are available.
FUEL RAILS: The machine shop I had been working with to manufacture these is now out of business. Yet another victim of the utterly dismal Michigan economy. I have the tooling, so now it's only a matter of finding someone else to do the same thing, working through the same issues, and eventually bringing them back for sale. Hopefully I can get this taken care of in the next month.
MLS HEAD GASKETS: I have 3 pair of VG30 gaskets in stock. I am having smaller batches made (higher item cost) in the future and making a minimal markup just so I can continue to offer them for sale. VG33 or other custom bore sizes are still available for a little additional cost.

Printed instructions for most items will no longer be included along with orders starting in May 2010. The instructions will be available online, where they can be viewed easily in PDF format using Adobe Reader. I have made this decision not simply due to the cost of printing, but also in an attempt conserve resources, reduce waste and allow easy access to instructions. A small slip of paper is now included with the order giving the address of the PDF file with the instructions.
